How to play Cherry Light, Light-green Low-cal indoors or outdoors

This simple game tin exist played both indoors with some modification or outdoors, teaches listening skills and agility and is fun for young children. The Game of the Week isRed Light, Green Low-cal!

Historic period Group: Pre Chiliad – Form five

Length of Activity: Under 10 minutes

Developmental Goal: To develop awareness

Skills Good:

Listening, observation and agility

Before You Offset:

Make sure everyone know the rules and what happens if they move on a 'Cerise Low-cal'.
How to motility quickly and safely.

Set up:

Clearly define the playing area with a designated starting line and finish line.

How To Play:

Start with everyone forth the starting line,
When you say 'Green Light' anybody will movement towards the finish line,
When you say 'Red Light' everyone must immediately end.
- If players are still moving when you telephone call 'Blood-red Light', they must get back to the starting line.
Start a new round when everyone gets across the cease line or when most players make it beyond the end line.

Variations:

Introduce new colored lights, giving variations how to movement towards the finish line, such as run on light-green, walk heal to toe for yellow light, hopping for royal light, skipping, galloping, tip toeing, etc.
The leader can designate his/herself equally the finish line. This enables the game to move around and then that when players get close to the finish line (the leader), the finish lines moves farther away.
For the hearing impaired, you can plough your back towards the group for scarlet light and turn around (face your group) for green calorie-free.

Indoor Modifications:

Remind that no running is allowed.
Green Low-cal=Walk, Yellowish Light = Slow Motion, Crimson Low-cal =Stop.
If there are too many to play safely in the infinite, split up into groups and play multiple rounds. The offset person to cease round one can be the leader for circular two.
